6 -27 April 2019 "UNDERSTANDING – ART & RESEARCH" The University of Applied Arts Vienna presents 15 different examples of innovative artistic research projects for the first time at the Building Bridges Art Exchange Gallery, Bergamot Station, Santa Monica, US. In cooperation with the the UCLA Art Sci center exemplary research approaches will be on display which are all challenging the established perspective of research. Amongst others the interdisciplinary research project "Choreo-graphic Figures: Deviations from the Line" by Nikolaus Gansterer, Emma Cocker and Mariella Greil will be presented too. The exhibition is about understanding possibilities of research of and through art in new ways, about understanding as the very driving force of inquiry, artistic and scientific activity.
