Text

The exhibition „Heute ist morgen schon gestern / Today is tomorrow‘s yesterday“ shows my optimistic universe of characters composing music (earth), drinking smoothies (water), eating noodles in front of a screen (fire) and vacuuming space (air). It is guarded by the mystical Nebra disc, hand-made out of soft pipe cleaners, reminding of a winking, smiling face. It‘s the center of the solar system of good smells, that is constantly thriving to smell even better or simply even more. Four elements are essence to the life of a thirtysomething : The Thermomix TM6, the Vorwerk Kobold V 300, a Soda Stream and the Dyson Pure Cool AM07. But what does this all mean, for a composing-genius like Salieri or Leeloo just finding out that the ability to love is the worthiest feature of a human being? I was dreaming about streaming a SF-Show called „Stonehenge“. It was about the absence of time, which turned out to be an absence of development. People were born being persons already some were born old, some as kids, some as babies, but none of them aged. There was no magic of becoming, no hope for change, no hidden possibilities only the now to last forever.
