Curriculum Vitae
Vladimir Nadein (b. 1993) is a curator, artist, educator and film producer based in Vienna and Taipei. He is currently part of the master's programme Experimental Game Cultures at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His current interest lie at the intersection of video games and cinema. Vladimir's work has been presented at the solo exhibition Deep Play, VT Art Salon, II Greater Taipei Biennale, Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab. In 2016, Vladimir co-founded the Moscow International Experimental Film Festival and directed it for five editions. He has curated special programmes and screenings for the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale (Special Mention), Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Image Forum Tokyo, Kunstnernes Hus Kino, BRNO16, Fotografiska Berlin, Hamburg Short Film Festival, Garage Museum, University of California, Los Angeles and others. He was co-curator of the educational programme Extracurricular Practices at the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. Vladimir has lectured and given workshops on experimental film, found footage and script and project development at various film and art schools, including Taipei Media School, Moscow School of New Cinema, National Taiwan University of the Arts, National Tainan University of the Arts, Taiwan Pitch. He produced the award-winning film Detours, supported by the Hubert Bals Fund, received the Eurimages Lab Project Award in Les Arcs and was screened at Venice Critics' Week, Viennale, Thessaloniki IFF, Berlin Critics' Week, FICUNAM, Jeonju IFF, IndieLisboa, Beldocs, FILMADRID, Camden IFF, TFAI, Barbican Center, UNDERDOX and others.
