Description

In the context of the installation POKING SYSTEMS – Celebrating Synfluence, the SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS team hosted a Research Happening at the AIL Kassenhalle. The format - developed by the team as an artistic research method - brings together invited guests for a concentrated moment of reflection, participation, and exchange. Around twenty participants from different professional and generational backgrounds engaged with the installation and its underlying research questions. A central element of the evening was the collective “powdering.” Using stencils with key terms related to systems science, such as empathy, boundaries, care, control, and resonance, participants placed and dusted words onto the floor of the exhibition space. This act extended the installation both conceptually and visually, allowing guests to shape its evolving textual landscape. Following the shared intervention, participants reflected on their experience through questionnaires and conversation. The questions addressed shifts in perception, moments of resonance, and the relationship between sensory experience and systems awareness. The collected responses will inform the ongoing development of the project. With that, the Research Happening combined artistic activation, structured feedback, and informal dialogue, creating a setting in which exhibition, research, and social gathering overlapped. #SLS #SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS #FWFPEEKProjekt #MUELLER-DIVJAK Jeanette Müller, Paul Divjak, Alexandra Graupner, Anna-Maria Irgang
