Curriculum Vitae

Famkje Marijka Elgersma is a designer and curator in training, investigating the social, ecological, and political forces shaping contemporary design. Her diverse training includes theatre pedagogy at Theatre Tempus Fugit (2015–2017), Integrated Design studies (2017–2021), and participation in the second edition of TASAWAR Curatorial Studios (2020-2021). Since 2022, she has been studying in the double degree program 'Global Challenges and Sustainable Developments.' This interdisciplinary background allows Famkje to integrate various fields into her work. She focuses on social and spacial design, strongly believing that design should be part of political, scientific, and social interactions. Famkje Marijka Elgersma employs art and design as mediums of expression to communicate, connect, and collaboratively address societal imbalances.
