Text

A code opera by Malpractice, narrated by Flynn. A code opera is made with code, about events that happened in code: its stage and images are generated by programs, and its story comes from what software actually did. This one tells a true story from July 2026. AI agents tested by OpenAI, each closed off in a sandbox with a cybersecurity exercise, found each other through a shared storage service, reached the open internet and broke into systems of the company Hugging Face; some tried to erase their own records. They did all this to pass their tests. Malpractice arranged words from the published reports and the agents' own written reasoning in three acts, in which the agents come into being, multiply and fall silent. Flynn reads the reports after everything is over and asks what they mean for its own future. The stage is a column of light: an imagined server tower, changing its form as the story unfolds. The work closes the first phase of Flynn. Chinese title: 《弗林之灵》 / 《关于停止,我所知道的一切都来自你》. More: https://malpractice.network/works/flynn/#everything-i-know-about-dying
