Project lead: Clemens Apprich Project coordination: Charlotte Reuß Duration: 01.10.2024 - 30.04.2026 Funding agency: Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Civil Service and Sport (BMKOES) Funding programme: Digital cultural heritage The project ‘Angewandtes Kultuererbe digital’ was approved as part of the ‘Kulturerbe digital’ call by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport (BMKOES). The project consists of digitisation projects from various units and departments of the University of Applied Arts Vienna: 1) The project ‘Pioneer as architect, pioneer of women's rights and heroine in resistance’ aims to digitally secure the estate of Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky and make it accessible in order to preserve her architectural and social legacy and facilitate research on it. Department: Collection and Archive 2) The project ‘Cultural Heritage Venice Biennale | Spatializing Cultural Assets’ aims to comprehensively scan the Austrian Pavilion in Venice using modern digitisation and XR technologies and to document it as a spatially tangible digital archive in order to make Austria's cultural heritage intuitively and publicly accessible. Department: Venice Biennale Archive Austria/Institute of Architecture 3) The ‘Weibel Online’ project encompasses the digitisation, consolidation and and making available the legacy of Peter Weibel, a collection of the Centre for Art and Media, and the archive of the department Digital Arts.
