𝕴 𝕮𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖘𝖊 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕭𝖊𝖆𝖗 is a series of four photographs by Milena Wojhan , Claudia Holzinger, and Veronika Günther , created for the window display of @lost.weekendmeetsart in Munich. Curated by Jaemin Lee, the project responds to the overarching theme of love. Inspired by a viral TikTok survey in which many women expressed that they would rather encounter a bear than a man when alone in the forest, the artists transform this provocative premise into a poetic visual narrative. Across four images, the series imagines a shared life between a woman and a bear, shifting the focus away from fear and confrontation toward intimacy, care, and coexistence. Central to the work are Veronika Günther’s costumes, which give the woman and the bear their striking visual identities and add a performative dimension to the photographs. Blending feminist perspectives with contemporary visual language, “I Choose the Bear” offers a reflection on care work, power relations, and the visual narratives we use to understand love and safety.
