The course is a hybrid, multimedia step into how language shapes our environment. Immersive Media & Virtual Reality is a workshop style investigation, a dive into the power of words in media spanning the ages. From discourse to poetry, keywords and prompts, this course explores the shaping force of language in immersive media, spatial sound, and virtual environments. It provides a foundation to expand your individual expertise and artistic research. With the development of the new Immersive Lab, equipped with 3D sound and immersive video, we will experiment with camera systems, 3d scanning, real-time sound processing, circuit-based sound synthesis, and generative audiovisual environments.
