2009, Guthmann Musical Instrument Competition, Georgia Tec, Atlanta (USA) 2008, Magic Sound Machines, Hainburg (AT) Five works of this seminar were shown in the exhibition zauberhafte Klangmaschinen. They clearly demonstrate how fruitful it can be, especially in the field of instrumental art, to deal with its historical roots. The exhibition "Magic Sound Machines" showed the broad spectrum of technical innovations of the last century and inspired the students to create something new. The innovative moment of their work consisted in the exposure of the current, which opens up through the examination of historical media art. In this way, they showed that the constant of apparative art does not automatically have to be the latest technology. Rather, the idea of the apparative lies in the poetic of the apparatus itself. Four of the works created in the seminar (Haider Andreas, Mathy Robert, Perschy Jan, Stumreich Kathrin) were also presented in the finals of the Guthmann Musical Instrument Competition at the Georgia Tec in Atlanta / USA.
