The realization was to be done, in analogy to the technique of morphing, through the sum of artistic interpretations of several keyframes(places) located on the land route between Vienna and Shanghai. Abstract material and individual data were collected, and further processed by the total of 12artists in their individual projects. Cultural Morphing presented its projects in group exhibitions with live performances, symposia and radio broadcasts. For the radio broadcast, a score was developed by filming a dinner at a Chinese turntable. The sequences of the dinner, manifested in the shot of the turntable filmed from above, were set to music using the data sets and acoustic recordings collected during the trip. Participating artists created individual sound files based on the score (i.e., the video), which were then mixed together to create a stereo track.
