The event Loops, Multiplication & Remembrance will bring together the team from the artistic research project “From Multidirectional Memory to Multidirectional Moments (MDM)” for an evening of discussions with artists about their newly commissioned works for the Palais des Beaux Arts Wien.
Sarrita Hunn, editor and co-founder of "MARCH: a journal of art & strategy," will moderate the discussions in order to explore how publishing as an act of protest, multiplication, and remembrance can be used as an artistic approach to challenge dominant memory regimes.
The artistic research project “(MDM)” funded by the Angewandte INTRA programme explores the social, spatial and political conditions surrounding forms of remembrance in order to question how different approaches to memory can co-exist in the public sphere without canceling each other out.
