Text

2021, DAN, Festival die Angewandte (AT) Cyberspace consits of transactions, relationships, and thought itself, arrayed like a standing wave in the web of our communications. ours is a world that is both everywhere and nowhere, but it is not where bodies live. PerryBarlow The DigitalArtNetwork (DAN) evolved from the digital linking of various student art projects developed in different courses. The works become nodes of this network. Underlying the artistic concepts and their further development is an iterative process with the goal of optimizing the relationship of the nodes to the network and the weighting of the data streams. The works receive, transform and transmit data. They are to be understood as a condition of the flows that manifest themselves between the nodes, in a mathematical abstract way, and that would not be experienced without the transformation process that takes place in the nodes. In the DAN project, the autoreferential process of data production described above is made accessible online. The individual projects in which the DigitalArtNetwork manifests itself are shown using streaming formats.
