EXPANDING SYSTEM BOUNDARIES. Sound Installation & Reenactment by MUELLER-DIVJAK feat. Tuntun Taratawan Krue-On: “The Table” from “What If It Was All A Dream?” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azCbzlfvLco The composition and video work by Tuntun Taratawan Krue-On is based on field recordings made in the garden of the house where she grew up, as well as ambient sounds from her place of study in London. The soundscapes of both rural and urban environments, and their influence on thoughts and emotions, are explored in this work. The installation does not only address geographical boundaries but also the boundaries of memory, belonging, comprehension, and the disruption of what was once taken for granted. How do we expand the limits of our perception and our spaces of resonance? Between isolation and connection, locality and globalization, diversity and similarity—what becomes audible, perceptible, and shapeable at these transitions? Which boundaries do we establish, which do we need, and which do we seek to overcome? Which systemic boundaries, essential to understanding for a thriving present and future, can we expand, and what new spaces for creation and transformation can emerge? #SLS #SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS #FWF PEEK Projekt #MUELLER-DIVJAK
