As a student project of Cross-disciplinary Project Work II, this project including MAPPING as a tool of service design analysis and MAPPING as an artistic way of visualization. Here you will see how decentralized urban POP-UP events work, using Recetas Urbanas in Spain and Voor je Buurt in the Netherlands as examples, where MAPPING is more than a tool for artistic expression, you will also see the value flow of organizational platforms as systems, and insights into trends, vulnerabilities, and individual impact on the system.
Description
Voor je Buurt voorjebuurt.nl/ the Netherlands "Voor je Buurt is the platform for initiatives in your neighborhood, village or city. Through Voor je Buurt you collect money, help and materials and, together with others, give color to your neighborhood. " "If you register your initiative on Voor je Buurt, our enthusiastic team will think along with you. We can give you tips and advice on setting up and implementing a campaign for money, help and/or materials. Over 85% of the campaigns on Voor je Buurt are successful. " RECETAS URBANAS https://recetasurbanas.net/ Spain "Most of the projects completed here were born with the lack of support from government bodies or public authorities and constitute a heritage that we call constructed jurisprudence. " Santiago Cirugeda created in 2003 the architectural office Recetas Urbanas after 7 years of solo work addressing issues such as ephemeral architecture, reuse of materials, occupation strategies and urban intervention, incorporation of built prosthesis, education or citizen participation in the decision making process. Alice Attout joined the team in 2008 and together they continued to search for new protocols for public projects, negotiating between legality and illegality and reminding us of the excess of control that public institutions try to impose on us. The work of the Recetas Urbanas team is characterized by its continuous experimentation using the city as a laboratory and a space for conflict resolution.
