text

Listening to the Stones is an exhibition (20.11.2021–06.03.2022)as a part of ongoing artistic research project that explores practices of listening beyond the human sensorium. The exhibition “Listening to the Stones” embodies a symbolic aspiration for renewal through an act of attentive engagement with stones as counselors and companions. Such a posture invites the reimagining and re-learning of our temporal and existential orientations — toward both past and future. What do we truly understand about time? What transformations must we undertake — both in our ways of life and in our cultural paradigms — to reconsider everyday life in relation to the ecology? The artistic contributions offer diverse perspectives on stones from various global contexts. Within this framework, stones are not merely approached as resources — inert, brittle, and devoid of agency — but rather as repositories of geological and planetary knowledge.
