Abstract

What are these door frames doing? Dividing the room, connecting the exhibition, guiding along the way and framing the exhibit. What else? These invisible spaces are throughout every exhibition. While viewing an exhibition, have you ever taken notice of the distance between yourself and the exhibits? Excluding the space occupied by visitors and exhibits in each room, what does the remaining space signify? Does it serve as a barrier, isolating the elements, or does it act as a bridge, forging connections? When the mirror reflects an ambiguous scene, do you merely see your own reflection, or do you perceive yourself existing within the surrounding space, or even a juxtaposition of your present self alongside these ancient objects, creating a collage of past and present?
