FadingColours intertwines living algae and almost real-time coral bleaching data. In this partly interactive installation, the living conditions of the algae are influenced by the almost real-time data on coral bleaching. The five living data sculptures are connected to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) Coral Reef Watch, which is used to observe and research coral reefs worldwide. The algae create a tangible reflection of the situation of their species and the corals under the sea surface.
