Poetically Messy: Storytelling and Mistranslations Anna T. and Sofia Bempeza (she-dandy) Join us for an evening of readings and mistranslations, conjuring empowering pasts and imagining abolitionist futures. We will discuss feminist storytelling, migration, silenced women (σιωπηλοποιημένες γυναίκες), queerness, Mediterranean futurism, τις ξεβγαλμένες, class, care, and sexuality. Sofia Bempeza aka She Dandy will share poems from her book “ 93 (παρα)οικειακές ιστορίες για την Ελένη” / 93 (para)domestic stories for Helen, a collection of poems and prosa (A Glimpse of, 2023), and Anna T. will share excerpts from her book “Δiotima; or, Δeir*land: A fragmented stori of arkivs, kolektivism, imaginaʃon, & multituds” (FAC, 2025). Her artistic practice revolves around writing and themes of queerness and migration.
