urban laboratory IDEAL PARADISE is an experimental, choreographic and installative process, performed with different partners, experts and accomplices. it deals with political circumstances of the present and is experimenting in different contexts and spaces. it is a laboratory for several months, initiated by claudia bosse, operated by a pool of people, performers, musicians, architects, who are involved differently in the "urban laboratory". it engages guests and accomplices for different periods of the process in order to work together in different (semi) public spaces. the fact of not having a fixed spaces, vagrancy, becomes the working practice. the strategy to take the places of intervention as they exist, to accept the existing structures and regard them as starting point for the choreographic work: it is a re-lecture of the space which does not overwrite the space but inscribes into the space and incorporates its information. the process will be spread into urban and partly non-artistic spaces and will examine different kinds of publicities. it is the attempt to leave the spaces of art in order to confront the concerns of art with different functionalities and realities. starting in october 2015 performative and installative interventions are taking place at different spaces in vienna. in different concentrated moments the performative practice will be visible to a larger public. urban laboratory IDEAL PARADISE takes up the questions of previous works by claudia bosse by continuing to work with the subjects order of knowledge, collections and cultural projections / territory and appropriation / cultural projections / ideology and terror / anthropology and erotic racisms / "perceiving" objects / ritual, fetish and different societies. those subjects have been the core of the installation a second step to IDEAL PARADISE by claudia bosse at weltmuseum wien and are now spread into the urban space and transformed. it is a translation of the structures and desires from the weltmuseum into different spaces. concept/artistic director: claudia bosse, sound/media: günther auer, focus performance: varinia canto vila, réka kutas, jaschka lämmert, alexandra sommerfeld, , florian tröbinger, focus space: stephanie rauch, critical witness/dramaturgy: baerbel mueller, technical director: marco tölzer, assistant/coordination: silvester kreil, assistant sound/technics: luka bosse, permissions/research: sandra hartinger, artistic management: silke bake, communication: anna etteldorf, administration: margot wehinger production by theatercombinat, IDEAL PARADISE is coproduced by ImPulsTanz - Vienna International Dance Festival, weltmuseum wien, donaufestival, supported by wien kultur. partners, supporters or accomplices are amongst others: urbanize!, brut wien, haus des meeres, hauptbücherei wien, tanzquartier wien, volkskundemuseum wien
