June – October 2024, Art Cabin, Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab A tent-like structure made of colorful fabrics, soft cushions, and warm light invites visitors to step inside. This is not just a shelter; it is a space of exchange, reflection, and collective experience. HALLABUDDA REENACTMENT, the third part of the Series of Scenographic Studies by MUELLER-DIVJAK, revisits the key scenographic element of the first Sensing Living Systems Symposium in December 2023: the Hallabudda. The installation in the Art Cabin at the Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab recreates the atmosphere of the original symposium, where Hallabuddas—improvised tent structures—served as intimate spaces for interdisciplinary dialogue. Inside the installation, visitors are invited to watch the SLS Artistic Recording, a documentary film by Zoe Gendron and Daniel Jamernik, which captures the essence of the symposium’s discussions, exercises, and moments of collective exploration. By reactivating this scenographic setting, the installation turns the Hallabudda into a site of memory and a space for renewed engagement. The Hallabudda becomes a container for revisiting ideas, reflecting on systemic awareness, and experiencing the project’s concepts in a sensorial and immersive way. The installation opened during the Angewandte Festival in June 2024 and remained accessible until October 2024, attracting visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
