Understanding the processes underlying the creation of “Künstlerische Tatsachen” can be challenging at times. Many of the well-established methods of social sciences prove inadequate when it comes to artistic research. Nonetheless, Grounded Theory methods can make the underlying principles, structures and meaning generation more accessible.This article explains the basic workings of this approach.
