Description
During the winter semester 2025, SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS collaborated with students from the Bachelor programme International Sustainable Business at Hochschule Burgenland as part of a consulting-based semester project. The students were introduced to the aims, principles, and current developments of the project. Through presentations and discussions, as well as a hands-on visit to the installation CONCEPTION OF SŸS – The Smell of a Mythological Being, they gained direct insight into the artistic and research processes of SLS. Based on this understanding, the students conducted an economic analysis of the project and explored potential spin-off models. Their final presentation in November 2025 included strategic considerations for the development and marketing of SLS-related spatial scents, possible funding pathways, and a structured marketing plan. The collaboration created a productive exchange between artistic research and business studies. For the SLS team, the external perspective offered a new lens on questions of sustainability, scalability, and long-term development beyond the project’s funding period. For the students, the project provided a real-world case study at the intersection of art, research, and entrepreneurship. #SLS #SENSING LIVING SYSTEMS #FWFPEEKProjekt #MUELLER-DIVJAK Jeanette Müller, Paul Divjak, Alexandra Graupner, Anna-Maria Irgang
