The Berlin Mobile Academy is celebrating 100 years of “Red Vienna” with a supra-temporal topology in the grand hall of Vienna’s Rathaus. The audience is invited to engage in one-on-one talks with over 100 Viennese experts and praxeologists: the political economist, the residential historian and the Mars station architect, the former tax official, the expert on kineticism, the smart city manager and the activist for the homeless, the grandson of a resistance fighter, the science fiction author and a banana wine producer from the Gemeindebau. On one evening, in the rush of simultaneity, the history, present and future of Vienna will be retold and reinvented in 252 dialogues. Artist and performer, Nikolaus Gansterer will accompany and translate three selected dialogues (Sarah Wiener, Monika Platzer, Clemens J. Setz) with a live Translecture performance. A project by Mobile Akademie Berlin (Hannah Hurtzig, Marian Kaiser and team) in collaboration with Wiener Festwochen. Admission free at the Festsaal of Wiener Rathaus, Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz 1, Vienna, Austria.
