Pump it Up! Minimal Intervention, Maximum Splash in Blue Spaces At Lido Urania Wolfgang Schmitz Promenade, Danube Canal bank below the Urania, 1010 Wien 2-6 June 2025 During this hands-on Focus Week at the Donaukanal, Social Design Studio teams up with the Rome-Based Architecture Collective @orizzontale_architecture to build playful tools that pump up water from the canal – turning Donaukanal from a passive view into a refreshing, touchable experience. The workshop is part of the InclusiveCity project on critical placemaking for inclusive cities, by Social Design Studio in collaboration with @schwimmvereindonaukanal , @superwien.architektur.urbanism and @eutropianorg – working together to make Vienna’s Donaukanal more accessible as a blue-green infrastructure in the city, supported by DUT-Driving Urban Transitions and the European Union. @inclusivecity_eu
