In the past ten years the SLIVER Lecture Series has gained international recognition as a platform for emerging and established designers, artists and theoreticians to present and exchange ideas. Complementing the 150 Anniversary of the University of Applied Arts in 2017, SLIVER showcased Positions from the pool of its own graduates, which serve as the foundation for this publication. Hence, the aim of the book is to engage an even greater alumni´s network through their work and thoughts into a “conversation” on the past, present and future challenges of the architectural profession, education and architectural discipline at large. The publication collects and presents positions of graduates (and their unfolding´s) under the umbrella of the Institute of Architecture at Die Angewandte over the course of the past 30 years.
