The RischArt_Projekte have been promoting art in public spaces for 42 years. The works for the 16th RischArt_Project were also created especially for the exhibition and financed by Rischart. In 2025, Rischart's Backhaus will move from its award-winning glass bakery in the Glockenbachviertel to a new building on the Theresienwiese. The move offers curator Katharina Keller the opportunity to return with the current RischArt_Project to the original location where the promotion of art began in 1983 with the 1st RischArt_Prize. The invited artists interpret the theme in a variety of ways: Their works blend into the existing architectural structures of the former bakery and challenge the usual patterns of perception, giving visitors a new perspective on the space. As a special guest, Radio 80000 will mingle with the exhibition and broadcast from Buttermelcherstrasse for four weeks. ...MISCHEN becomes a statement for an open and diverse society in the current political times of division: Mixing connects.
