Street games are a global phenomenon rooted in the natural human instinct to play. While play is abundant in childhood, opportunities for playful activities diminish as we grow older. Street game designers are reigniting this playful spirit, encouraging everyone to rediscover the joy of adventure, competition, and cooperation with friends and strangers in urban environments.
During the last weekend of September we invite all of the Tartu inhabitants as well as guests to various games played on the streets of the city. We will have a chance to become secret agents, explore the city during night games, connect the city with ropes, place our climate bets, train carrots, become vampires and much much more!
This Festival is part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024.
