Die Studienbegleitende Reflexion ist eine wesentliche und kontinuierliche Reflexionsebene des individuellen Studienverlaufs. Sie beschreibt den eigenen Lernweg. Dabei sind die Erkenntnisse aus der künstlerischen Praxis sowohl mit den wissenschaftlichen und fachdidaktischen als auch den allgemeinen bildungswissenschaftlichen und schulpraktischen Erfahrungen und Erkenntnissen zu verschränken und in eine künsterischen Ausdruck zu bringen.
