The classes deal with the structural build of three-dimensional things. The main goal is to understand spacial interrelations and improove the spacial sense. The focus is on freehand drawing. The course deals with the representation of three-dimensional things in freehand drawing. It builds on the basics put over in winter term and dwells on the depiction of more complex subjects. The course deals with basic drawing skills relevant for the depiction of spacial things. The focus is on communicating shape, tonal value, colour and verisimilitude. Topics will be various approaches to object studies, ratio and direction, shading and hatching methodically, the effective use of graphite and coloured pencil, charcoal, fine liner/pen and nib, alcohol markers, water colour, pastel, gouache and… 2025W, Übungen, 2.0 ECTS

The course deals with the depiction of specific materials and surface qualities with regard to verisimilitude. Required are basic skills like shading and creating gradients intentionally (put over in MuZ1 in winter term).
