Body Movement → Audio/Visuals → Physical Space
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how movement, gesture, and voice can directly shape sound and visuals in real time, creating real-time immersive experiences without relying on traditional interfaces like knobs, buttons, or screens.
You’ll learn practical techniques to connect cameras and microphones to interactive media systems and contextualize Audio/Visuals in space with projectors and speakers. We’ll explore accessible approaches to embodied interaction, mapping movement and presence into creative tools for performances, installations, and spatial experiences.
The seminar is practice-based: you’ll experiment and develop your own interactive setups using your laptop and the APL space and tech as a creative playground.
Among the audience of this course are students of media art, art & science, musicians, visual performers, audio / visual artists. Anyone who's curious about the topic, including students from other universities.
