Beschreibung

The course "Research Methods in Architecture and Design" introduces master and PhD students to the logic of research in the field of the built environment. An overview of research methods and a diversity of perspectives on research in architecture present the different ways that research is framed and currently carried out. 

Invited guest lecturers will present their projects, approaches, strategies and methods, serving as examples and case studies for conversations on questions concerning disciplinarity, inter- and transdisciplinarity, scientific rigor and expertise, knowledge production and innovation. 

Within the framework of this course, students will be guided in the development and preparation of an independent research question about the built environment.

Prüfungsmodalitäten

Participation and presentation of your own research question and project plan.

Anmerkungen

The course will be held in collaboration by Petra Gruber and Tulay Atak. 

The enrollment in both courses, S05447 andS05454 is mandatory.
