Beschreibung

This course, building on the foundation established in Objektdarstellung am Computer 1 , is designed for students seeking to deepen their understanding of 3D computer graphics

and translate that knowledge into practical, interactive results.

We will work primarily with Blender, using it as a core authoring tool. Alongside Blender, we will explore a selection of other tools—mainly free and open-source—where they support our workflow and project goals.

Although attendance at the previous lecture is highly recommended, it is not mandatory. Participants should already have basic experience working with 3D software.

Course focus

* Web publishing and interaction: export and publish 3D content for the web, with user interaction implemented in three.js.
* Automation and add-on development: build reusable tools and pipelines using Geometry Nodes and scripting.
* Student-driven lecture topics: the lecture portion will include additional content tailored to participants’ interests, selected in a preliminary meeting.

Prüfungsmodalitäten

Grades are based on:

* attendance, and
* successful completion of take-home projects.

Anmerkungen

Profiency with computers, a notebook with preinstalled Blender, and a 3-button mouse are required.

Compulsory attendence.

For scripting, we will use the privacy aware https://duck.ai service which offers a broad range of free to use models. No prior programming knowledge is needed!
