Beschreibung

The BA CDC Lab is the central study component of the CDS program, where cross-disciplinarity is practiced through both an applied project and an academic research paper. Based on this year’s CDS research theme Networks, the lab offers inputs, methodological guidance, peer-presentations, and individual mentoring. Students have the possibility to work individually or collaboratively.

The lab takes place on Wednesday afternoons from 14:00 to 16:00 and will consist of group meetings and individual mentoring sessions.

An optional intensive kick-off session will be held on October 2–3 and is highly recommended.

Examination Modalities

To pass the CDC Application Lab, students must:

  • write one research paper and work continuously on one applied project;
  • attend at least 80% of the class sessions;
  • complete the required readings and any preparatory work before each session, if requested;
  • actively participate in class discussions and provide constructive peer feedback; and
  • present both their research paper and their applied project at the end of the semester.
