Description

Advanced Projects in Metal / Open Workshop

Students will design and implement their own sculptural projects in metal under guided supervision. Advanced techniques will be taught through the development of the projects. The conceptual and artistic implications of the material will be considered in tandem with technical problem-solving.

Prior experience in working with metal is required.  

Closed-toe shoes and practical clothing are required. If you have personal protective equipment (goggles, hearing protection, etc.), you are welcome to bring it with you.

Space is limited to six students. Students in the departments "Sculpture and Space" and "Site-Specific Art" have priority. Students who have already taken this course in previous semesters are welcome to register again.
