Beschreibung
This seminar examines how performance space operates across inter- and transdisciplinary contexts, including choreography, literature, architecture, media art, spatial theory, game studies, and AI-informed practices. Drawing on embodied and posthuman perspectives, it asks how bodies, technologies, and environments co-constitute spatial experience.
During the academic year 2026–27, the seminar will focus on speculative spaces and speculative embodiments, exploring speculative fiction as a mode of artistic creation and artistic research. Through experimental, collaborative, and practice-based formats, the seminar will investigate how fictional propositions can generate alternative spatial and bodily configurations within multispecies imaginaries and open up different ways of sensing, knowing, and inhabiting space. The seminar’s approach to speculative space and speculative embodiment will extend beyond its subject matter to inform its very structure, creating an experimental setting in which fictional propositions can be spatially and bodily enacted, tested, and transformed.
