Description

Semester topic: War, Peace, Man

We open a space to think about war, peace and man as modes of organization and as positions through which authority, ownership, and violence are arranged and justified. It asks how certain forms of order persist by remaining invisible, and why violence becomes explicit when these arrangements begin to fail.

Working across philosophy, history and the present, the seminar addresses how domination operates through private life, public institutions, language, and administration, and how war appears as a response to loss of control—over bodies, territory, resources, and meaning. 

This ZKF is run by Mel, Liz, Luzius & Patricia

Examination Modalities

There are two ways to complete the ZKF this semester:

1. develop a project in the ZKF within this semester's topic
or 2. develop a theoretical concept on this semester's topic

Attendance: Necessary for the common sessions. Otherwise, during Visite - we want to see you a few times during the semester for individual conversation, so please be in your studios Thursday afternoon  😊

One focus of this ZKF will be working with the Research Lab and the new research software.

Finally, showcase your project or concept during Festival.

Last semester the medium was immersive video. This semester we wanna look into action / die Aktion and Fluxus.
