Institute of Fine Arts and Media Art, Drawing and Printmaking
2026S, Individual Artistic Instruction (KE), 15.0 ECTS, 15.0 semester hours, course number S40683
Description
The aim of the course is to develop an individual approach to artistic expression and production, to engage with the social and artistic environment, and to achieve an independent artistic position. Together we question, criticize and discuss individual approaches and inspirations in order to promote participation in contemporary artistic discourse.
In the Zentralen Künstlerischen Fach (ZKF), the focus is on personal artistic development. Part of the work takes place in collective projects, with special emphasis on the ability to present one's own work orally and in exhibition form. Individual support and discussions are of particular importance.
Discussions are held in German or English, depending on the situation.
Examination Modalities
During class meetings, usually held every other week, students present their work for " joint critique ". Discussion is encouraged to question the projects presented and to argue ideas. The focus on this process allows students to respond to the contributions to the discussion, which can be crucial to the final realization of the work. Individual tutorials support the process described above and stimulate the development of ideas.
