Excursions with Hephzibah Druml
The aim of this course is to explore different art practices and exhibitions. Taking place primarily outside the seminar room, it is structured around visits to artists’ and architects’ studios, exhibitions, institutions, and off-spaces in and outside of Vienna. Students will engage in conversations with artists, curators, and architects and will analyze exhibition formats on site. Building on these experiences, they can develop their own concept for presenting their work end of the semester.
“Works and/on display“ takes place in dialogue with Jakub Gawkowski‘s course “Exhibitionary Complex: Poetics and Politics of Display“.
