"Ur Brain on Javascript" is an introductory course to Javascript. Javascript is an Object Oriented Programming language, and it lets you add a little bit of interactivity to your website. Javascript is also the basis for building apps, and browser extensions.

We will go over basics like syntax, data types to creating functions, as well as concepts that you will find in all programming languages. This course is more about getting to know more about your computer and getting you to become a better problem-solver, which in turn will make you a better programmer. From this course, you can jump to other programming languages like Python.

This course is beginner friendly! Everything you need for this course (more or less) already exists on your computer!

What you need:

- A computer with a text editor (Notepad on windows, TextEdit on Mac, Nano/vim on linux)

- The thing about text editors is that there are some that are native to your computer. That being said, for Quality of Life purposes, I suggest downloading a text editor online. This can be Bluefish, BBedit (Mac), Atom, Brackets, or even VSCodium (which is the open license version of Visual Studio Code).

- An internet browser (Edge, Safari, Chrome, Firefox). You will be looking at the console of this browser.

This is Part 1: Grundlagen des technologischen Gestaltens (Software Javascript), which leads to Part 2 is Interface Design. Check with your department which course you are mandated to take.
