Rehearsals in Worlding. Anti-Imperial Spatial Transformation
Maja Ozvaldic
Institute of Architecture , Architectural Design 2
2026S, scientific seminar (SEW), 1.5 ECTS, 1.0 semester hours, course number S05967
Description
The course engages with practices shaping and reconfiguring worlds through environmental, social, cultural, and aesthetic productions. Thinking with films, poetry, writing and other forms of artistic works across disciplines, the course aims to shift attention to analyses and imaginaries rooted in building and rebuilding (infra)structures “required for living.”
This course will take place as a process of collective learning – that is collective readings, film screenings, and discussions accompanied by individual and collective reflective pieces in selected media. Participants will be asked to lead at least one session in pairs.
Thursdays, 9:00-10:30 (bring your teas & coffees)
Seminarraum 04 (OKPV, 2.OG)
Examination Modalities
For each week students select readings/works/films from the collection to present in pairs. For the first week, we will prepare and present the selected works for the semester. We will share formats such as collective reading and forms of peer-to-peer learning which enables the workload to be based within the duration of the sessions. Participation (critical thinking, reflection, analysis) and presentation will be the evaluation criteria.
Comments
This course is co-taught. All interested students should apply to both courses for registration.
