WORKSHOP:"WAYS OF SEEING (Fashion)"
(WORKING TITLE: Editing Researched Images)
"Editing is the process of selecting and preparing written, phptographic, visual, audible or cinematic material used by a person or an entity to convey a message or information. The editing process can involve correction, condenastion, organisation and many other modifications performed with an intention of producing a correct, considtent, accurate and complete piece of work. The editing process often begins with the author's idea of the work itself, continuing as a collaboration between the author and the editor as the work is created.
Editing can involve creative skills, human relations and a precise set of methods"
GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP:
Researching and editing existing images in order to illustrate an idea and how this collected material can generate the activity of making new images.
WORKSHOP TIMING in 3 Stages
- STAGE#1/ Getting to know you:
WEEK 08 (February 16 - February 20)
> you will email me an overview of your work and a brief description of why you are interested in applied photography and why you would like to join this workshop.
>> according to the material you share with me, i will give you a topic/word and you will start doing research around this topic/word.
- STAGE#2/ Collecting material:
WEEK 10 (March 02 - March 09)
> we will go trough and discuss your collected reserch material in individual meetings.
- STAGE#3/Editing the collected material:
WEEK 11 (March 09/10/12)
> I will individualy help you to edit your collected material in order to illustrate your assigned topic in the most clear and understandable way.
RESULT OF THE WORKSHOP
> Depending on the workflow we will discuss the best way to present the collected, processed and edited material.
Prüfungsmodalitäten
A minimum of 80% attendance is requested and I will consider the presentation of the result of the workshop as the exam. I will give a mark on this presentation.
