Description

The question is not to be answered, but rather to form the focus of the discussion: as a philosophical question whose expression is uncertain. The question of what art is is not asked everywhere and at all times. The lectures explores several forms of expression of the question in order to show that they are intertwined. Their interconnection gives rise, on the one hand, to the necessity of repeating this question and, on the other hand, to dealing with the impossibility of answering it.

Examination Modalities

The lectures will be held in German.
Requirements for successful participation:
- Regular attendance (min. 80%),
- Writing of 1 short essay (15000 characters) on a topic from the lecture and oral discussion of this essay (10-15 min.) as part of the exam at the end of the semester.
