The course focuses on performative work with scores – including underscores, improvisational methods and approaches to real-time composition. These open structures enable individual and collective explorations at the interface of artistic practice, perception and reflection.

The course offers space for experimental approaches to the development, application and analysis of scores and invites participants not only to enact performative processes, but also to question them conceptually. Scores are understood as dynamic tools that interweave aesthetic action, somatic experience and compositional decision-making.

From a post-disciplinary perspective, we focus on the transitional zones between different fields of practice and explore how the interplay of feeling, doing and thinking opens up new aesthetic spaces of experience. Participants are encouraged to develop their own artistic questions and to learn through collaborative exchange.

The course is aimed at students with an interest in body-based performance, improvisation and research-based artistic practice – regardless of their level of experience. Different levels of prior knowledge are seen as a resource for joint learning.

It will be possible to partially link up with the artistic research project "Shaken Grounds: Seismography of Precarious Presences" and their exhibition at Angewandte Interdisciplinary Lab.

Regular and active participation in performative explorations of scores, discussions and submission of written course-related reflexion (artistic process log book / collection of scores) at the end of the semester.
