This seminar explores storytelling as a method of decolonial knowledge production, centering on the ways narratives shape our understanding of history, memory, and belonging. This semester, we will engage deeply with A Glossary of Haunting by Eve Tuck and C. Ree, using haunting as a framework to examine histories of violence, dispossession, and resistance that persist in the present.

Through the study of artistic practices, we will investigate how storytelling can unsettle dominant narratives and create space for silenced or marginalized voices. We will focus on visual and performative practices, experimental forms of narration, and methodologies that embrace opacity, refusal, and relationality.

As a collective practice, we will collaboratively develop our own glossary over the course of the seminar, creating a living archive of terms, affects, and concepts that emerge from our readings, discussions, and artistic research.
