Description

The BA CDC Lab is the central study area in the CDS program, where cross-disciplinarity is practiced in both a research-based project and a scientific paper. Leaning on this year’s CDS research theme Witnessing, the lab offers inputs, guest lectures, peer-presentations, and individual mentoring. During the course of the semester/year, students have the possibility to work individually or collaboratively.

 

The lab will take place bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoons between 15:00 and 17:00 and will consist of group meetings and individual mentoring sessions. There will be an optional excursion between the 4th and the 8th of May 2026. The final presentations of the lab will be in mid June.

Examination Modalities

The course assessment consists of one research paper and one project. In addition, students are required to demonstrate continuous class participation throughout the semester. This includes maintaining a minimum attendance rate of 80% as well as actively contributing to class discussions and participating in peer critique. All assigned coursework must be submitted. Furthermore, students are required to deliver both a mid-term presentation and a final presentation.
