Description

  • Welcome to LOSIIA – the Lab for Open Source Intelligence and Investigative Arts!

In this seminar, students explore LOSIIA, our research lab specializing in the use of state-of-the-art research software to analyze social media and internet data. The lab offers hands-on experience with OSINT and AI tools as well as methods to develop a deeper understanding of how digital information is gathered, verified, and interpreted. Using real-world case studies, students learn how online research reveals patterns in online behavior, traces digital footprints, and critically engage with the ethical questions and challenges of working with publicly accessible data. This seminar equips students with important skills to master the complexities of internet-based research, and we aim to lay the foundations for investigative arts.

Examination Modalities
