2026S, Lecture with Practical Exercises (VU), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S04562
Description
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to textile screen printing and is designed for both students working independently and those still developing their ideas. For beginners, we recommend the complementary course "REPEAT OF A PATTERN." as a source of inspiration and orientation.
Participants will learn the fundamental techniques of textile screen printing, including the adaptation of designs, preparation of analog and digital templates, and the execution of both repeating patterns (rapports) and unique, experimental motifs. The course encourages both traditional and free artistic approaches to the medium. Printing formats up to 110 × 130 cm are possible.
Examination Modalities
To receive ECTS credits, the following is required:
a.) All incurred material costs must be settled in full.
b.) At the end of the semester, please submit a digital project documentation via email to: stephanie.klaura@uni-ak.ac.at
Your documentation should include:
1 to 4 photos of the project combined in a PDF (Name / Project Title / Short Description)
Assessment is based on the design concept, its artistic and technical realization through the screen printing process, as well as active participation and responsible use of workshop space and equipment.
Comments
