In this course, students develop ‘critical thinking’ by engaging with both art theory and art practice —whether in visual art, performance, media art, or other creative approaches. The course explores the current lexicon of contemporary art, and emphasizes queer feminist and decolonial perspectives that challenge existing paradigms. 

The semester focuses on surveying different approaches to artistic practice, and to understand the discourses surrounding research in the arts. Students are to investigate the PSK building as a site for critical inquiry that informs and inspires a creative output.
