Lithografie 1 (Klassischer Steindruck)
Masanobu Mitsuyasu
Institute of Fine Arts and Media Art, Drawing and Printmaking
2026S, Lecture with Practical Exercises (VU), 2.0 ECTS, 2.0 semester hours, course number S04119
Description
This printing process is traditionally done on limestone.
The course content will be largely freely designed.
The goal is to expand the knowledge and possibilities in lithography, e.g. ink lavur, chalk drawings and different etching techniques in lithography.
Results from a variety of techniques are desired, and the free combination of ideas and printing techniques will be an integral part of the course.
Please bear in mind that this course requires patience and sufficient time, as well as plenty of practice. This is because many manual and chemical processes are necessary to achieve a result.
Examination Modalities
- One monochrome or multicoloured lithograph with your own motif or a test motif with a small edition.
